Room 14's Assembly - The Tuckshop Kid Musical

Congratulations to all the students in Room 14 on your excellent assembly on Friday! It was highly entertaining and the audience thoroughly enjoyed it!

I was impressed with your confident speaking and great organisation, particularly our assembly leaders Danika and Jamaul who made the assembly run smoothly, along with all the students who read out the special news, reports and honour certificates. What a fantastic job you did!

Joseph, Nick and Emelia also did a wonderful job of remembering their lines and speaking with expression in their acting roles.

The Tuckshop Kid - Script Performance

Room 14 students performed an action-packed and entertaining scene from The Tuckshop Kid for the Year 4, 5, 6 and 7 students on Friday.

Students identified the dialogue (speech of the characters) in a section of the novel, wrote a script in pairs using this dialogue, rehearsed and performed their scene. They considered the different roles, and how the characters would speak, move and interact with other characters.
.
Performing in front of the Year 7s was a bit scary, but students did an excellent job and received some valuable acting experience.
.
Awesome effort Room 14!
